CDFM Exam Procedures:
Effective immediately, the process to register for a CDFM module examination has changed. These changes are contained in the new CDFM welcome letter, which is attached for your benefit.
If you are now a CDFM:
Please note these changes as some of your colleagues, still in candidate status or planning to enroll in the CDFM Program, may approach you with questions concerning the process to register for an examination. Please feel free to share the attached material with them.
If you are now a CDFM candidate:
The Candidate ID number that you received in your welcome letter remains valid, but you will need to follow the guidance in the attached sample candidate welcome letter to register for an examination. Please note that the examination site, Prometric Testing Center, remains the same.
However, instead of calling Prometric to register, pay for, and schedule an examination module, CDFM candidates will now visit the ASMC Certification web site (http://www.asmconline.org/certification/cdfm-information/) to select an examination module and pay the required fees. After registering for a module examination, the candidate will be able to print his or her Authorization Letter that contains the directions for calling the Prometric Testing Center and scheduling a time to take the examination.
Please note that the telephone number contained in the Authorization Letter for the Prometric Testing Center may be different from the telephone number you previously called to schedule other module examinations.
The revised process will provide benefits both to the management of the CDFM program and to the individual CDFM Candidate.
